February Winter Wonderland

Okay I wasn't really trying to write about the snow, but it's so commonly mentioned since last night when the snowing started... I looked back some ancient blog entries and this is actually nothing. One year I believe we had snow in Vancouver in April. (Or was it March?) Comparatively, February snow is like normal. :-p

Normal or not though, the cold temperature takes a little used to. Not to mention the constant paying attention to the slippery-ness on the road outside. It looked funny then, when I walked into the door of the building I work at, I almost slipped and rammed into a book truck.

P.S. No, I didn't actually ram into the book truck. That event is part of the "almost."

P.S.2. Also interesting running into J this morning, who mentioned it's freaking cold outside, like winter all over again. Well it'd take a lot of snow to remind me of Winter 2008.

Work-Related

One thing about my current job is that more than often I need to deal with people more than when I deal with machines.

And ah... there are times when dealing with the lifeless machine is a lot more comforting than people, despite all the frustration when machines refuse to work.

On the contrary, people are more unpredictable, more emotional, and can find ways to make you feel good/bad/satisfied/annoyed.

I just spent 10 minutes scratching my head and finally writing an e-mail to a staff member. Ever had one those e-mails when you wish the recipient won't reply? I've had my share of these type of staff members.

These people aren't necessarily bad or anything. In fact, they're usually pleasant after you helped them. But there's a tendency that their one original request can grow into multiple ones as time passes, and you just wish that they'd stop replying to your e-mail saying "Let me know if you have more problems."

All in a day's work... all in a day's work.

P.S. Don't get the wrong messages now for those who read this post when I reply to you with "Let me know if you have more problems." I'm still happy to help you! :-p

Casually Revived

Was reading E's blog and all the sudden wanted to look at my old blogs. And then one thing led to another, ta-da, blog revived.

Didn't really know how devoted I can be this time, since all my past blogs were abandoned sooner than I expected. However, I decided to be rather casual this time... in my past ones, I tended to always write sensually (??), be funny, or try to speak of meaningful words. This time, all casual, be that a one-sentence entry, a long-winded rant, or just random brain dumps... hope having said that will motivate me to come here more often. ;-)

Probably shouldn't do this at work. :-p

P.S. I know what you're thinking, and yes, this has become a lazy man's blog lol.

P.S.2. About blog title... dunno why but I got a picture of Winnie the Pooh in my mind when writing this entry... sound befitting more or less, so oh well.

P.S.3. Just realized this also happens to be V's birthday. Happy Birthday, V! XD
